Pastor's Message

After a vacancy of a year and a half, St. Paul Lutheran Church was blessed to receive a new pastor in the summer of 2005. Rev. Robert W. Hauter was installed as St. Paul’s 12th pastor on June 19, 2005. Pastor Hauter was born in Hammond, IN. He is the son of Robert Hauter (deceased) and Norma Pajda. He has a stepfather, Frank Pajda. He is a graduate of Purdue University with an associate degree in computer information systems and a graduate of Barat College in Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in computer programming. He has lived in Indiana, Texas, and Northern Illinois. In 2001 he enrolled at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne IN, and served as a vicar from July 19, 2003 until July 18, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Albion, MI. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary and received his Master of Divinity degree on May 20, 2005. He has one son, Mitchell; three sisters, Rosalie, Mary Kaye, and Nancy; eight brothers, Dennis, Kevin, Tom, Albert, Eric, Adam, Carl, and Andy.

The Board of Elders helps direct the congregation’s spiritual matters. This board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The Church Council meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
